Most Popular Positive Comments
Amazing fan It's remarkably quiet. My spouse is a smoker. He smokes in a room where the air becomes so oppressive that it becomes difficult to breathe. The fan does a great job of removing smoke. Only a small portion of the house is affected. It features three speeds and a thermostat that can regulate the room's temperature. I endorse both the vendor and this fan. It met the specifications and was delivered on schedule.
Most Popular Negative Comments
The lowest speed setting is more like a moderate, and the motor's persistent humming is too noisy for a bedroom. Additionally, each time you adjust a fan setting, there is a deafening beep. I would not suggest this for a bedroom, but it would work nicely for a main room or office.

Apr 7th, 2022I had to use a fan to sleep. This fan's sound is fantastic. It is really strong and produces a lovely breeze. I have to counteract it since the wind is too strong for me, but I would rather do that than just hear it (which is why I bought this - to replace a fan that had good sound but little wind.) Cool reverse functionality. I've used it to ventilate a room when placed in a window. I have not adjusted the thermostat.

Jul 15th, 2022This small fan is fantastic. It circulates enough air for my small apartment and is silent. Due to my crank window, I operate it vertically. I just set the included feet to the side and leaned the device against the screen. It's quite light. I haven't tested the temperature control; I leave it on high all the time. I suggest it.

Jun 30th, 2022Airflow is noticeably greater than any comparable two-fan window fan I have used. This unit enables you to alter fan direction separately, one blowing out and one blowing in, if you only want to breathe with one window open. While there is undoubtedly some turbulence between the two, emptying a single room goes considerably more quickly.

Jun 21st, 2022Lots of air is moved by the Genesis window fan. Unfortunately, the noise level is simply too loud for my bedroom, where I hoped to use the fan. really disruptive to sleep. I got rid of my previous one and started looking for a new one after it started to make noises and one of the fans stopped working. This one does move a lot of air, but the bedroom is not the place for it. I'll keep it and put it somewhere quiet in my old house so it can do its work. A good product overall.

Apr 14th, 2022My window fan needs to be replaced every few years, so I opted to upgrade to the Genesis because of its size and positive reviews. This Holmes unit moves substantially more air with about the same noise level as my old twin-8" Holmes unit. The red fan speed light is not my favorite (haha), but it is simple to fix because it is noticeable at night. The odd design at first put me off, but once it was in the window, it looked amazing. There is a very slight balancing issue with one of the fans, but I can easily solve it.

Jun 8th, 2022I guess I overlooked the statement that the temperature control only has a high level. Compared to my last one, a little noisy, but not too awful. The temperatures seem to be off. Temp was set at 70 because the room was at 65, but it continued to run until I changed it to 80. I have no idea why it did that.

Apr 9th, 2022Without a doubt, I accept responsibility for my lack of investigation. This fan resembled one I had owned, with the exception that it featured buttons and LED lights instead of a stat dial. There are just five options available for the temperature at which the fan will shut off. The blades only rotate in one direction, as well. again, I apologize. I guess I just believed that any fan designed to fit into a window would either push air inside out or suck air in from the outside. I enjoy choices.

Jul 8th, 2022Although there are many different settings for this fan, it is still very noisy even on the lowest setting. I'm going to keep it for my living room. I will keep using my old Holmes brand window fan in the bedroom because it is so amazingly quiet and functional. When I need a window fan in the future, I'll look for the Holmes brand. I'll continue to follow the better course of action.
