  For sun protection, this umbrella works well. Opening takes some getting used to, although that is a little inconvenience. In a strong breeze, it did once turn inside out. Getting back to the right setup was simple. Making the shaft a little bit longer would be the one design decision I would make. I had to duck to get beneath it because I am short (5'10") in height. I am aware that doing so could raise weight and expense, but that would have given it a fifth star.

  So far, so good; underneath it, I stay dry. Although I haven't yet experienced strong winds, I trust the design. The locking mechanisms are plastic, as some reviews have noted, but as long as you are careful and don't try to push anything, there is no problem.

  Good umbrella but large

  The quality looks to be on par with Coolibar, a sun protection brand I'm more accustomed to. I purchased this umbrella because Coolibar ran out of silver umbrellas and only had black ones left. Although it is substantial and functional, this one is enormous. Although it was my own fault because it was stated in the description, I was nonetheless shocked when it arrived.

  Saves you from the sun

  Saved the day when I had to walk somewhere on a scorching hot day. In comparison to outside, the area was noticeably cooler under the canopy. The only issue is that trying to roll it back up is a fruitless endeavor. Just won't cut it for me, but I'll keep using this when necessary. I can't say whether it would be worthwhile in the rain, but it simply works fantastically in the sun.

  Good results. The stretchers and ribs are plastic, so take care. Ensure that you push the button and lift the umbrella (Give it a rotational shake). Attempting to force it could break the hinge points.

  Not as well built as I expected!

  The first week I used it, the sleeve tore. After using it for less than a month, the straps are also tearing apart. Additionally, although being named the "wind cheater," it doesn't perform as well in mild winds as I had hoped. A better-built umbrella is worth the additional cost.

  Poor material

  This poncho is one I bought for my dad. The shaft was shattered when he opened it for the first time. The fabric looked flimsy and seemed to be broken. We missed the return deadline, thus we were unable to return the item. We were quite unhappy because it seemed like the damage was caused by a flaw in the material.
