  I adored how simple it was to put together. Amazing color is blue! It swayed somewhat, but not significantly. Base requires weight. For the time being, I placed potting soil bags. I appreciate that it can swivel because it now covers more of my patio than a stand-alone umbrella does. has a cloth top with a Velcro tie-back that is attached. Material appears to be of high quality.

  Fantastic umbrella So far, seems to be very excellent quality. Simple assembly instructions are provided. Because this 10 feet provides such a wide variety of shade, I should have measured my deck a little more accurately! It's larger than I anticipated. Here, where there is a lot of wind, I purchased the sturdy base and filled it with sand.

  Excellent Umbrella

  Your satisfaction with this umbrella is guaranteed. Before buying one, I conducted a lot of research. I didn't want anything that was incredibly cheap and would break quickly, but I also couldn't image paying $500+ for one of the "better quality" ones. I chose to buy this one after doing much research and reading reviews. Everything I had wished for has come true! High caliber and strength. It was simple to assemble on my own, and the directions were clear.

  Love this umbrella!

  I bought it since I also had a new conversation set from this store that required some shade for barbecue days with family and friends. I gathered myself. Definitely need a weighted base if used stand-alone without being attached to a deck. Although mine is on concrete, there are screw holes for doing so, thus a base was required. extremely simple to open and close brings in some beautiful shade. A fair bargain for a good size!

  Excellent umbrella; I'm pleased with the caliber. I enjoy how the tilt may be easily adjusted as the sun rises higher. I wish I hadn't purchased the additional "weights," as I would be happy to simply bolt it down.

  It required some effort and willpower on my part to get the predrilled holes for the base screws to line up, but I was able to make them work. Otherwise, I would have given the assembly five stars. Excellent product for the money and makes our pool look beautiful in the shadow!

  Disappointed in sturdiness

  After reading numerous reviews of other umbrellas, I decided on this model. I paid extra for this model because I thought it would be more durable than it is. It constantly sways and produces a loud creaking noise inside when there is a light breeze. I'm disappointed that we have to close it so frequently because it is pretty and we truly need the shade.

  Very Unstable Umbrella

  When we bought this umbrella a year ago, it was already pretty flimsy. Despite tightening each screw, the umbrella continues to shake despite my purchase of the heavy durable base. This unit has not been a good one for us, so I hope I didn't get a lemon!

  Poor design and quality

  In a high wind, this immediately disintegrated. A minor metal component that holds the umbrella to the overhanging bar fell away and could not be replaced without taking the entire thing apart. Sadly, it was impossible to put back together. Although it seemed promise, I wouldn't buy it again.

  Just over a year after purchase, one of the articulated arms snapped. I can't seem to get in touch with the seller to get a replacement part. I am unable to offer this product more than one star because there is no way to repair it.
