  The annoying flying insects are one of the bad aspects of gardening, cleaning, or simply taking advantage of the nice weather. I purchased this last year on the basis of a recommendation, and I no longer draw any kind of insects. I got bitten by a tick last year because we have a tick problem here. Any outdoor activity is continually difficult due to no-see-ums, black flies, etc. This product has a lovely scent, repels everything, and is chemical-free.

  I exclusively purchase this brand of insect repellent since it works the best. I live in Florida and have a severe allergy to insects and no-see-ums (Epi-pen on deck). It doesn't have the intense aroma of bio pesticides like lemon oil of eucalyptus, won't melt plastic, and is considerably healthier than repellents based on DEET.

  Nice smell, a little oily, and seems to wear off much more quickly than any other brand I've used. This deet can has some remaining after one season, compared to some of my older cans.

  It has a really oily feel, but it smells good and kept the bugs away throughout my three-hour hike in Florida. Ordering again.

  The Sawyer Picaradin Cream is considerably better in my opinion. Essentially the same thing, but more expensive, less effective, and hotter. The fact that you can use this on garments is a benefit over the cream. With bugs, it is really helpful, but it is not a panacea. Since no insect protection on the market will always be effective, prepare to employ a variety of them.

  Not what I'd hoped.

  I was hoping against hope that I would adore this purchase. Since it is a "add on" item, I knew I would buy two of these. We were let down when we used it. The stench wasn't too horrible, but it was sticky. I was looking for something silky smooth, but I didn't get it.

  It has a very strong smell

  I ordered picardin repellant lotion and spray. The spray smelled much stronger than lotion and was difficult to use as a spray because it tended to spurt in one place rather than spray uniformly in a thin mist. It has a pungent smell and stains clothing. A repellant with picardin as its main ingredient works quite well, but I wouldn't buy it again.

  Too Greasy

  Although I did catch a few bites, I found it to be rather greasy and the aroma to be a little overpowering. Due of how oily it feels, I doubt I'd buy it again.

  This product's extra aroma is overpowering, and it's unclear why it has to be there in the first place. I probably won't buy this again unless an unscented version is provided.

  Poor quality control

  I acquired two. One functions properly. It makes it simple to apply all over my body without skipping any regions and gives a fine aerosol mist similar to sunscreen. The other sprays a mist instead of three heavy streams, oversprays everywhere, and I have to spread the liquid with my hands to make sure I don't miss any locations.
