Most Popular Positive Comments
This thing is really effective. It doesn't smell chemical and lasts for hours. It smells strongly of lemon, but not the lemony scent of furniture polish. I was gone for nearly three hours with no bites. No deet, and I wasn't bothered at all by bugs. Just keep in mind that you would need to reapply if you went in and out of the water. Since mosquitoes adore me, it should be effective on everyone.
Most Popular Negative Comments
Two bottles were purchased, and after a week or so, the pump stopped spraying. When I switched to the second bottle, the pump abruptly stopped operating after about a week. Although the product works well to keep mosquitoes away from me, I detest having to unscrew the top and pour the liquid into my palms before applying it. What's going on there?

Sep 30th, 2020I've been using the product for the previous four to five years while residing in a northern cedar swamp where there are numerous biting insects. Deer flies really love to bother dark-colored dogs, so I even lightly spritz it on the tops of their heads and ears where they can't lick it off. This definitely helps my labradors with the flies. I don't know if it repels black flies, but I'll find out next summer as we recently moved from a marsh to the center of some fields.

May 21st, 2022Mosquito populations are strong in East Texas wooded areas with sandy soil. Fleas are also. All flying insects stay away from my arms, neck, and face after a single application. With a few sprays of Repel on the cuffs of my pants, fleas that live in the grass and soil never land on me. The liquid is gentle on the skin, and the lemon aroma is not overpowering. A little actually goes a long way. Very affordable and simple to use. I'll soon add this product to my list of subscriptions. Never in my life do I want to be without it.

Jul 29th, 2020Where I reside, we have a MASSIVE mosquito infestation that makes it impossible to sit outside at any time of day or night. Since I prefer using natural remedies over harsh chemicals, I thought I'd give this one a shot. It really does work! It is without a doubt the greatest insect repellent I have ever used, and I keep it outside for myself and visitors. Strong smell, but very worthwhile. The presence of the incense sticks makes the mosquitoes a little less inclined to visit my outdoor deck.

May 21st, 2022This is the only other spray I've found that effectively repels black flies, gnats, and mosquitoes (the other came from a lavender farm in Delaware that is now closed). If you detest citronella, this is not the product for you. When I was in Maine during the black fly season, I sprayed my hat to keep the bugs away, and it was the ideal addition to my head net.

Jul 11th, 2022No matter where I go, mosquitoes manage to find me for some annoying reason. EVERYWHERE: in the garage, at the gym, when on a neighborhood stroll. Like I cannot resist pizza, neither can they. I've been using this repellant for years, and during that time I have never once been bitten. It has a bad scent, but it's not as strong as Deet, which I like because Deet is too strong for me. Thanks a lot!

Jun 7th, 2022Since I attract mosquitoes, I needed a solution that genuinely worked. Despite the negative evaluations, I reasoned that it was still worth a shot given the cost. The smell is overpowering, and after spraying my legs, I quickly went inside and started coughing. Once you apply it, make a point of staying outside for a bit. Even though I have sensitive skin, I have not yet experienced an allergic reaction to this lotion. It seems to be working because I haven't yet been bitten.

Jul 9th, 2016Oh my god, the scent of this stuff is awful. I'm sure it would work on mother-in-laws, ex-spouses, attorneys, cops, and other people as well as mosquitoes. Imagine what it must do to the bugs because my wife was sent away in tears. even has the word "flammable" on it? This is fantastic stuff!
