  Installing the tent on your car's roof takes two individuals. But once there, it sets up quickly. The awning rods were the most challenging aspect. Our tent is installed on a raised 1988 Land Cruiser, so we did need to purchase a three step ladder. The secret to an easy setup and breakdown of this tent is to use the included ladder. I believe that with a little work, we could finish it in under 10 minutes! Fantastic design! I wholeheartedly endorse this!

  It was a little difficult to mount to my bed rack because my bars are considerably broader. Other than that, assembly is really simple. It is undoubtedly much simpler if two persons are assisting. The material appears to be quite sturdy. Additionally, I would like to point out that this tent's foundation is not completely bug-net sealed, leaving a little space for insects to enter.

  Great tent

  This arrived last summer. It enables all the benefits of tent camping without any drawbacks. A kayak lift for your garage, some RV leveling blocks, and a 2 inch memory foam pad (Queen size is the right fit and makes for better sleep at night) are things I'd suggest buying. The kayak lift will make it easier for one person to load and unload the tent from your car. Apart from that, it is quite quick to set up, gets you moving, and is very spacious.

  This product is excellent so far and is simple to install, but the hardware that fastens to the cross bars is too short. I needed bolts to finish the installation, so I went to the hardware shop. Due to size and weight, installing requires a large crew. My six-foot-tall sons enjoy the room and extras that come with it. This tent is as comfy as an air-conditioned camper thanks to a 12v fan. have not yet been released into the wild but will soon. awaiting the opportunity to set up the tent.

  Great rooftop Tent

  It was easy to set up. The Gen 2 tents surpass the quality of the first models. What's not to like? It's sturdy, roomy, and easy to set up. Shipping got a little lost, and we were unsure of its location. Make calls to find it, then cancel the appointment. The product was fantastic, but the box looked worn. Why would I spend more than $1500?

  I have two trailers and this is my second Smittybilt Overlander. It is difficult to find better for the price. On a recent 5-day vacation, I took my off-road trailer, and being elevated and cozy was wonderful.

  I can't compare because this is my first roof top tent. But it arrived quickly. It is well made and simple to install. a great value. The mattress was quite cozy. easily accommodates two adults, with additional room for luggage or a dog.

  My son bought this rooftop tent, and he's been having a great time with it thus far. Since the spring, he has been utilizing it pretty frequently. It's challenging to give something a perfect score when you have to consider durability over time, but we have no complaints. My husband and I will also buy the Smittybuilt if we buy a rooftop tent.

  Excellent tent. It is strong, waterproof, and comfy. It wasn't too difficult for me to install it solo, but it would be lot simpler with a second person. Because one of the bottom panels was dented after shipping, I only awarded it four stars. It wasn't a cheap tent, and now it has a ding, but nothing structurally significant.

  I think this is a fantastic product. In many aspects, the instructions were inadequate. We installed it but have now determined it's not the product we want to use going forward. Since we are both shorter than average, it has been difficult for us to reach the zippers and tuck the sections in to fold them up. Nothing indicates that we are both in our mid-seventies and lack the necessary physical capabilities.
