I was really happy when the tent showed up! Although it seemed to be of excellent quality, when we tried to set it up on the beach, it fell over. Even with the use of corkscrews, a slight wind kept blowing it straight out of the sand. It was far from being as simple to set up as in the video, and the poles were not very robust. I really needed it to succeed. Perhaps it would withstand the wind better.

Jun 1st, 2019On our recent beach vacation, we tried the Large Blue version, and everything went perfectly. We simply tightened it up a little by taking the sand bags outside and buried them in a small hole on windy days. The shade was simple to set up and take down, and it looks great. After theirs was lost or damaged in the wind, we received numerous inquiries from curious people about what we had. For the first time in years, I wasn't concerned about the sunshade staying in place. fantastic stuff

Sep 2nd, 2019We used the sunshade for the first time when we spent a day at Assateague Beach in gusts of 20 mph. Even in wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour, the sunshade was simple to erect and required little readjusting once it was in place. Just now, we added more sand to the sandbags. The sun protection was excellent. Although some light can still be seen through the material, you are shielded from the majority of the sun's rays. We were really pleased with how effectively the parasol functioned and both we and our visitors felt very at ease.

Apr 28th, 2021Our initial experience with this sun shade was fantastic. It took some time to determine the ideal method of anchoring the poles, but it worked well even in the fairly consistent and powerful wind at the beach.

Jul 12th, 2020I truly enjoy this item. offers protection for four persons. This took 9 minutes to build up and 4 minutes to take down by myself when I timed myself doing it at the beach. I've used it in extremely windy weather, and the poles remain in place. Although the cloth moves, everything remains in its original position. I'll soon purchase the larger one because I prefer more coverage.

Mar 25th, 2022After a year and over 15 beach days with breezes of 5 to 10 mph, I have discovered the secrets to a happy shade. 1. Purchase a collapsible camp shovel for yourself to fill the bags. 2. Lay lines across all four corners, then fill bags with dirt and bury them, leaving no slack. 3. erect the poles 4. To stop bungie creep, knot the free ends of the bungie pole straps and thread the extra length onto the anchor ropes. It has never fallen or been blown over using this technique. Never will I carry a tent with a metal frame to the beach.

May 17th, 2019I don't evaluate things very often, but in this case, I will. We purchased it for a trip to the Bahamas. We generally bring a giant sunshade to the beach because half of my family is quite fair and easily burns; but, with flying baggage, this was not feasible. This was a nice shelter. We got winds of 20 mph with no issues. I was concerned it wouldn't withstand the conditions, but there were none at all. It offered excellent sun protection. We could pack it in our luggage because it weighed under ten pounds. We threw it in the laundry after the trip, and it came out like new.

Aug 7th, 2020I tried using this sunshade in Crystal Beach in Texas and used it in Destin, Florida. In all honesty, it's acceptable given the cost. Compared to other beach canopy options, it is relatively small and light, but it requires a lot more work. Once it is up, it casts a lovely shadow. I chose the largest size. Softer sand is acceptable, but steer clear of packed sand and strong gusts; these conditions actually caused a sand anchor to break and an aluminum pole to bend. Also, after attempting it on a Texas beach, it was outside my return window.

Sep 16th, 2020Due to unfavorable weather, we have not had an opportunity to use the item we received. It appears to be of great use to us. After we can take the boat out again, I think I will need to give an additional rating.
